We’re Back on The Truck Show Podcast! (S3, Ep. 37)
Share
We’re thrilled to share that TailHand made a return appearance on The Truck Show Podcast—this time for Season 3, Episode 37. We joined Host Sean Holman in the Pod Shed to talk about the journey of building the TailHand brand and business from scratch, what’s new with TailHand, and where we’re headed next.
“Last time we were here, we had a prototype. Now we’ve got real customers using TailHand in the field.”
A Lot Has Happened Since Episode 212
When we first appeared on The Truck Show Podcast way back on episode 212, we were just getting started—chasing an idea, testing prototypes, and wondering if we were crazy. Turns out we weren’t.
Since then, sooo much has happened. Here are just a few highlights:
- Dialed in our design
- Beginning development on accessories for TailHand
- Navigated our way through the very complex manufacturing process
- Completed our first production run, with the second run launching soon
- Installed TailHands on customer trucks—including mobile welders and builders
- Shot an installation video with a real-world fabricator
- Started conversations with retailers and e-commerce partners who are interested in carrying the product
“We built this to solve a problem I had personally—trying to do serious work off the back of a pickup with nowhere stable to mount or clamp tools.”
It’s Still Just Us
This is a two-person show. Co-Founders, Suzie and I (Michael), are designing, sourcing, marketing, and delivering everything you see and hear about TailHand. The days are long, the challenges are real—but so is the joy of seeing this product in the wild.
“You can’t do this halfway. If you believe in it, you’ve got to push through the hard parts.”
We don’t have series funding rounds or a massive team. We’re doing this the organic, intentional way—by staying close to our customers, learning what they need, and improving as we go.
Let’s Keep It Rolling
Whether you’re a welder, contractor, woodworker, fleet manager, or just someone who lives and works out of your pickup, we made TailHand for you.
“It’s always been about giving tradespeople a reliable work surface they can trust—wherever they park their truck.”
